The C.C. Korns Company was started in 1916 by Clarence Clinton Korns, an engineer with the United States Steel Company in Johnstown. In his plant on Southmont Boulevard, Korns designed and manufactured galvanized plumbing clamps. His operation has been the only industry in the Borough.
